Western End of North Boulevard

OSCD-8

Observation

North Boulevard is the most elegant and important civic thoroughfare of Baton Rouge. It could be the City’s equivalent to the State Capitol grounds, but it is not yet conceived as such.

Discussion

The western end of the median should conform to the geometrics of the parkway rather than to the diagonal geometry of traffic flow.

Recommendation

Reconfigure the Boulevard’s median at its western end.
